Southern Hangö peninsula offers fantastic archipelago experiences and opportunities for outdoor recreation and bird-watching. In Täktom and Tvärminne there are nature trails with bird-watching towers. Rent a bicycle in the centre of Hangö and go cycling in the countryside, and visit different places of interest. In Lappvik/Lappohja you can go hiking along the 1.5-kilometre long sandy beach, and then make a detour via the woods and follow the old tank ditches still accessible in the recreation area.
